Problems we see in restaurants
Six situations from a busy service — and what Nora does about them.
Service does not stop for the phone
In the middle of the evening rush there are no hands for the receiver. The waiter is carrying three plates, and the kitchen is shouting out an order. The phone rings behind the bar, everyone hears it, but nobody can take it — and the guest just wants a table.
✓ Nora answers straight away — also at 18:30 on a Friday.
The guest plans at midnight
The table is booked when the idea arises — not during your opening hours. A birthday in three weeks is decided on Sunday evening, and a Friday dinner is agreed in a group chat on Thursday at midnight. If there is nobody to call, the table is booked somewhere else while the decision is warm.
✓ Nora books 24/7.
The engaged tone sends the guest on
The one who cannot get through books the restaurant next door. A table for four on Friday evening exists next door too, and the guest rarely tries twice. The call that was never taken looks like nothing — but it was the evening's most expensive empty table.
✓ No queue, no engaged tone — every call is answered.
The details have to reach the kitchen
Numbers, allergies, high chair, special occasion. A shellfish allergy mentioned on the phone at 11 and forgotten by 19 is not a detail — it is a risk. And a high chair nobody wrote down is only discovered when the family is standing in the doorway.
✓ Nora writes it on the reservation, so it is there at service.
Tourists call in English and German
And hang up if they are not understood. A group that has just landed wants a table tonight and cannot spell the street name. If they cannot explain how many they are, they end up somewhere someone answered in their language.
✓ Nora speaks over 30 languages.
Changes all day
"Can we be 6 instead of 4?" A table that grows from four to six needs a different table — and that is not the same as adding two names to the list. The changes come all day, and they come while lunch is still running.
✓ Nora changes and cancels — the guest confirms by SMS.
From call to confirmed booking
Nora knows your seating times, your tables and your calendar — and she never books a table you do not have.
The guest calls
Nora answers the phone 24/7 — also outside opening hours. She introduces herself with the restaurant's name, says she is an AI receptionist and asks about date, number and time. No guest meets an engaged tone, not even at 19:00 on a Friday evening.
Nora understands and finds the table
Nora understands the reason and proposes a free time in your calendar. She books by your seating times and your maximum party size, so a table for six never ends up in a corner for four. Allergies, high chairs and special occasions she writes on the reservation straight away.
The guest confirms by SMS
Nothing changes in the calendar until the guest confirms by SMS. The guest sees day, time and number on screen and says yes with one tap. Only then is the table taken, and the kitchen can see the allergy on the reservation long before the guest sits down.
Everything your restaurant needs
Calendar booking
Nora books directly in your Google Calendar today — more integrations on the way, ask at the demo. Reservations are entered with number and time, so two parties never get the same table.
Over 30 languages
Nora answers in the caller's language and switches by herself when the caller does. A tourist can book a table in English or German and have the allergy written down in their own language.
SMS confirmation with a swipe
Nothing changes in your calendar until the guest has confirmed by SMS. The guest sees the reservation on screen and says yes with one tap — so there is no table in the book that nobody turns up for.
GDPR first
Built in Denmark, hosted in the EU. Personal data on a booking is wiped once the order is completed. Nora notes name, number, party size and the wishes the kitchen needs to know — not whatever else the guests talk about.
Your tables, your rules
Seating times, areas and maximum party size: Nora books by your setup. If the terrace is closed in November, or you do not take parties over eight, she knows it before she says yes.

Questions from restaurants
Does Nora write allergies and wishes on the reservation?
Yes. Number, allergies, high chair and special occasions are written on the table when the guest mentions them, so the kitchen can see them long before service. She never guesses whether the kitchen can accommodate a request — it stands as a note for you, exactly as the guest said it on the phone.
Can Nora keep track of seating times and maximum party size?
Yes, by your setup. You decide seating times, areas and how large a party you accept, and Nora books only within that. If the terrace is closed or the evening is full, she says so honestly and suggests another day instead of promising a table you do not have.
Which languages can guests book a table in?
She speaks over 30 languages and switches by herself when the guest does. A group of tourists can book a table in English or German and have the allergy noted correctly in the same call. The language does not need to be chosen in advance — she hears it and follows from the first sentence of the call.
What if the guest wants to speak to someone at the restaurant?
Nora puts the call through to the room if your rules say she may — you decide whether the phone may disturb in the middle of service. If nobody is free, she takes a message straight away: name, number and what the guest wants. Then you can call back when it is calm behind the bar.
