Problems we see in dental clinics
Nora is trained specifically for the dental clinic's flow — from emergency calls to routine booking.
Emergency calls in the evening and at weekends
Toothache does not respect opening hours. Patients who cannot get through call the competitor — or turn up untreated on Monday in a worse state. A tooth that flares up on a Saturday does not make the patient wait until Monday — they keep calling until someone picks up.
✓ Nora answers emergency calls 24/7 and follows your emergency instructions
Staff are interrupted constantly
The front desk handles treatment rooms, payments and patients — and answers the phone at the same time. Every call costs 5-8 minutes of focus. A dental assistant who has just put the receiver down has to find her way back to the chair, where the patient sits with mouth wide open, waiting for her.
✓ Nora handles the routine calls, the staff stay focused
International patients
Tourists and expats with toothache cannot explain themselves in the local language. They end up at a clinic that speaks theirs. An urgent enquiry in Polish or German has to become an appointment in the calendar without anyone at the clinic translating along the way.
✓ Nora answers in over 30 languages
No-shows and cancellations
Patients forget appointments, cancel too late or not at all. An empty chair is lost time that never comes back. And the gap is rarely empty because nobody wanted the slot — it is empty because nobody had time to ring round and offer it on.
✓ Automatic SMS confirmations and reminders
Prescription renewals and questions
Patients call about prescription renewals, medication questions and advice. Many of these calls can be answered or passed on automatically. They block the line at exactly the moments when a patient with acute toothache is trying to get through, and they rarely need a dentist.
✓ Nora escalates correctly or takes a note and sends a message
Long waits on hold
Patients put on hold for more than 2 minutes hang up. Half of them never call again. The morning queue is the worst: everyone calls when the clinic opens, and the one who is fifth in line hears nothing but a tone.
✓ Nora answers immediately — no waiting
From emergency call to booking confirmation
Nora's flow is tailored to the dental clinic's way of working — not a generic solution.
The patient calls
Nora answers immediately — whether it is 2 am or Saturday morning. She identifies herself as an AI under the EU AI Act and asks what the patient needs. There is no queue with her, and no patient is put on hold.
Reason and booking
Nora asks what the call is about, notes it precisely and follows your emergency instructions — she never assesses symptoms herself. If there is an emergency slot in your calendar, she offers it; if not, she gives the out-of-hours number, exactly as you have worded it.
Confirmation and notification
The patient receives an SMS confirmation with time and address. The clinic gets a notification with the call transcript, the patient's name and reason. Only once the patient has confirmed does the appointment go in the calendar — and the day before he gets a reminder, so the chair does not stand empty.
Everything your dental clinic needs
Out-of-hours number and emergency message
Outside opening hours Nora gives your emergency number and takes a precise message. The non-urgent ones she books into the next available slot. What counts as urgent is decided by the clinic — not by Nora.
Calendar integration
Nora books directly in your Google Calendar today — more integrations on the way, ask at the demo. Appointments are entered with the durations your treatments actually have — emergency slots included, so the calendar holds.
Over 30 languages
Nora answers in the caller's language and switches by herself when the caller does. A tourist with toothache can explain in his own language and get an appointment without anyone at the clinic interpreting.
SMS confirmations
Automatic confirmation SMS to the patient and a notification to the clinic — with the full transcript. The patient confirms the appointment with one tap and is reminded the day before — fewer empty chairs in the morning.
GDPR & EU AI Act
Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt). Nora never asks for national ID numbers. Data processing agreement before the first call. Nora notes name, number and reason — what it takes to book the appointment, and no more.
Monthly reports
An overview of call volume, booking rate, emergencies and missed calls — so you can optimise. You can see how many emergency calls came in after closing time, and how many of them became an appointment.
Fixed price — no minutes, no surprises

Questions from dental clinics
Can Nora judge how bad a toothache is?
No. She follows your emergency instructions and books into the emergency slots the clinic has set up — she never assesses symptoms herself. Outside opening hours she gives your emergency number, exactly as you have worded it, and takes a message with name, number and what the patient describes. The decision stays with the dentist.
Can Nora take a request for a prescription renewal?
Yes, it becomes a message. She notes the name, date of birth and what the request concerns, and leaves it ready for the staff — the decision stays with the dentist. That way the routine calls stop blocking the line while a patient with acute toothache is trying to get through. The patient is told what happens next.
What if the patient wants to speak to the clinic directly?
She passes the call on by the clinic's own rules — you decide when the front desk may be disturbed and when someone is in the treatment room. If nobody is free, she takes the message right away and tells the patient when you will call back. Nobody is put in a queue with her, and nobody meets an answering machine in the evening.
How long before Nora can take our calls?
It usually takes 48 hours before she can take the first call. We set up your appointment types, opening hours, emergency instructions and greeting together with you, and you hear her handle a call about acute toothache before she goes live. If anything sounds wrong to a dentist's ear, we fix it first.
